Long story short...long time lurker here, but first time posting...
My wife and I have been working very hard to improve our credit over the last couple years after lots of mistakes in our early 20’s. You know the usual; maxing out cards, late payments, etc...
Anyway, we have slowly been working our way back up. In March I applied for Care Credit, mostly because of the ease a lot of the people on these forums had. Boom approved for $1,000! I was pretty excited as I had no chance of getting a new card for quite sometime. Fast forward to about 3 weeks ago. Dog has to go to the vet. Funds were a bit tight at that moment. We put it on Care Credit and paid it off as soon as it was posted to our account. Last week I was again reading through the forums and thought I would try my luck at the CLI button. I had no hope whatsoever but thought “What the heck, couldn’t hurt”. I put in for a $10,000 line (again just for giggles) and they came back with a CLI approval for $12,000! Holy crap didn’t see that one coming!
And on a related note just yesterday my wife’s Chase Amazon Rewards card was bumped from a $500 line to a $2,000 line! And we didn’t even do anything, they just didn’t!
It’s just so exciting to see our hard work paying off!
