Congrats! I have been recommending requesting an increase to any of my friends with the card. And yes, I can confirm no HP for me from the CLI's.

Just for the giggle.  I requested $1 CLI increase a few minutes ago after saw your post. And, of course, it denied the request.  IMG_0868.jpgIMG_0869.jpg

Re: Care Credit Increases

@vu I am at 698 so that's shocking. I do know that if you have multiple accounts with same bank there is a limit across the board for how much they are willing to extend the limit. Do you have any other cards with them maybe with higher Limits?

CareCredit is my first account with Synchrony.  At the time I got it (10/2018), my score was 603.  I have been requesting CLI each month with no success.  In February, I went on a little shopping spree with Synchrony after I got the score jumped to 697 (PFD collection).  I get approved for $2.9K Amazon, $5K Cathay Pacific Visa, and $10K Lowe's. But even after the improved score from TransUnion.  CareCredit wouldn't budge.  The reason is that they are still using the score from November 2nd, 2018.  Each letter of rejection I got from CareCredit stated that they cannot give me the CLI due to low score/collection account.  I asked them to pull a fresh score and they refused to do so. So now I am stuck until they update their system with the new score, and they can't tell me when that will happens.  Until then, I will get rejection after rejection, lol.

Re: Care Credit Increases

Congrats on your new score!
I know there are those who disagree with me but I think it's just Synchrony. IMO they're fishy.
For many people, they can be approved, call Credit Solutions and get a $10k+ limit the same day. Some people also have a card for months, never put anything on it, then get a huge increase. Given these two things, what does it mean to say there is not enough experience at the current credit limit? People also don't need to have higher credit scores, so it's not that either.
There seems to be a group of people that get locked out of getting CLIs. Maybe for a legit reason...maybe not. IMO it's futile in trying to reason with them directly. If you look at several of the lawsuits against them (which end in large settlements), you'll find it's usually bigger than one person can see.
They *may* update your credit score soon and they *may* give you an increase. But if you can't get a solution, I wouldn't take them too seriously. You're clearly on the right path with your score increase. I'm sure there are other banks that will be wanting you as a customer. 😉

Re: Care Credit Increases

I like Synchrony but also dislike them lol.  Like them for generous CLs but also dislike for their incompetence Smiley Happy

Re: Care Credit Increases

OP congratulations!

@Vu go onto the synchrony website and activate get your FICO score, or have you already done that? Maybe that will expedite it?
