Chase Freedom Approved!!!!!

For the first time in years I been approved for a card. I called in this AM and spoke to an analyst to recon my previously denied app earlier this month. Put me on hold, pulled a new credit report and came back approving me for only $500. Wasn't what I was looking forward to but I'll still take it. Is it possible to recon an initial CLI with Chase? do I have to wait till the card arrives or should I call back and have them take a look for a possible increase... As for the Citi AAdvantage Card I was asked to send in a copy of my SSN card, never ever heard of that or experienced it for the life of me... Oh well this creditors always come up on some next sh**** but good progress so far though!

From what I understand, every CLI of Freedom (unless auto-CLI) requires a HP and there might not be an increase, because if it was available, the previous HP would have given it.

Matter-of-fact,

I got my Slate couple of months after my Freedom. I wanted to use the HP for Slate to get an increase for Freedom and the analyst did not agree; he wanted another HP which did not make sense to me. I wasn't looking for one more hit on the inquiry front.

My latest CSR correspondence confirmed that if I initiate a CLI it will be a HP for sure.

Congrats on your approval! I wouldn't worry about the initial CL on your Freedom, use it well and it will grow w/ you for sure. If you are planning to recon your initial CL, it will most likely to result in another HP...I would save the HP and show heavy usage/ PIF pattern to Chase first.
