$500?Thank goodness you can move limits around. Congrats!
Told you verification is a good sign.
Thanks! Besides, I'm not bummed out that much by the limit. My Discover It was $500 forever until I started getting some action there. I really thought I was gonna have to get some credit moved around to get this thing opened but I guess not. Difference is that I can easily fix that and I know I'm gonna eventually have a nice big 5k Freedom if I decide to PC my CSP next year in addition to this one.
APR is high too. 22.99%, but still not as high as Barclays. Last time I apped for this card, they mainly just used my EQ report to make the decision so I think it's the same deal this time.
Congrats, Popa!
On the side note, why are they pulling EQ? I thought Chase pulls only EX.
Depends on the state you live in. I live in GA and for the majority of my apps, they've only pulled EQ. With Freedom however, they always do EX and EQ for some reason here. I was able to get an EX pull of theirs off when I saw that on my denial reason they just listed an EQ score rather than anything from EX.
I also had no prequals for this card whatsoever and I waited a month after my CSP approval to get this one. I think if I had done it right away then, the chances of it getting denied would have been higher or the likelihood of having to move around credit so I'm glad I waited a bit. I've noticed that Chase does seem to have a pattern to this stuff so I do things accordingly to it. With the $200 sign up bonus coming up in about two months, I'll be able to send a message to SM to have my offer upgraded.
Congrats on the approval! If i'm understanding you correctly, you were able to get a HP removed because on the letter it only listed reasons from EQ and not EX....is that correct?
Had a similiar thing, that was slightly different got them to recode it as a SP on EXP due to what the UW said and recorded on a phone conversation that they were able to look up and say only TU was pulled, not Exp as well... Can happen if you esculate things to EO
Thanks. I did not realize that. I was turned down a few months ago and when I called in they cited new accounts on EQ as the reason but they pulled both EX and EQ. Also, when the letter came, it only listed EQ. I will keep that in mind for next time.

I contacted Chase EO and I had to show them copies of my EX report from what I can remember. They just turned it into a SP.

That's great. I'm definitely keeping that in mind for next time.
@chalupaman wrote:Very surprised by this one. Talked to someone from verification who finalized my application and said I was approved. She couldn't tell me what my limit was though but I'm definitely closing out Chase Amazon and moving the limit over the freedom soon. This will be my last Chase app for quite a while as I think I have just about what I need/want from them. The CSP/Freedom combo will especially make my other Chase cards unnecessary with them, though I'm SDing AARP and Ritz. This had been my dream card from Chase and I finally have it even though in the past I've been denied multiple times for it. Persistence pays off.
Unlike other Chase apps I've made, this one was a double pull on EQ and EX.
Okay, I logged in my Chase page, and the limit is $500. I'm definitely moving my Amazon card's limit over there and closing it out soon.
Grats on the Freedom approval, the 500 limit is your que to stop apping with them as you have said you are going to do ![]()
Congrats on the approval. I noticed you said you were planning to SD AARP. I'm curious what you plan to replace that with for dining?
Congrats on the approval!!!!

CSP itself of course. Wanna earn more UR points but I still like AARP too.

Yep agree CSP UR is more valueable then AARP if you are using for travel/hotel at 2% dining.
Congrats Popamode!
Congrats!
