I posted about my father's last app spree a few months ago, he had previously had $98k of exposure with them between three cards (and he is way past 5/24), he had put in two apps for British Airways & Fairmont, British came back denied due to exposure, and Fairmont came back with a 5k limit, making his exposure $103k
Now on to my mother's apps she put in, her exposure was previously $69k between four cards (and again, way past 5/24), she like my father put in apps for British Airways & Fairmont, British came back instantly approved for $30k, and Fairmont came back with the two week message, and the application was being handled by lending so we figured it would end up in a denial due to exposure or get approved with a $5k limit, well almost a month passed and low and behold a Chase Fairmont card shows up in the mail with another $30k approval, making her exposure $129k.
Fast forward to yesterday, my mother decided to see if Chase would allow her to reallocate some of her limits, and moving enough to make her CSP have a $100k limit (it had a $30k limit previously). The nice lady from the JPM Exec line said the system would allow her to move up to $45k on to the card, anything higher would have to go through Lending. So she moved some of the lines over and her CSP now stands with a $75k limit.
Earlier today my father decided to follow in my mother's foot steps and see what his result would be. The gentleman from the JPM Exec line told him basically the same thing my mother was told, the system would allow up to a $75k limit, anything higher would have to be manually approved by Lending.
Both my mother and father decided to avoid Lending (as it would likely result in AA), until their profiles are solid in the next year or two and let all the new accounts settle in.
Just posting this as a data point. Me and my family have learned so much from this forum, and we're about ready to call the "Garden" our home. Next thing to do is to redeem the massive treasure chest of free hotel stays, Airline miles, and so on we have amassed. Thank you all again.
Aw, great details! I wouldn't mind reaching maximum exposure between my CSR and (future) Ink cards one day. Kudos to you and your family, making use of research and these forums. Definitely enjoy all those travel perks, it sounds like they're well deserved!
