Just tried this. Approved in December and still in 0% apr. Tried to have them remove that so I could attempt a reduction and was told they can't take it off. Stuck until 3/2017 before I can try.

Yea, no dice on the apr reduction. Was told to try after 0% intro. I was told the same with Amex and Discover. Will try again then.

OP, if you are willing to sacrifice another HP for a CLI upon activation then by all means try it and see.  If you do, aim high!
