Wow. Congrats. That will be nice to have in Sydney, Irish.

I'll be flying VA to Australia next year and why I have lots of VA points now this will come in handy to pad that account. What's surprising about the approval is that this was approved without an HP which is a bit unusual. When I applied it came back with the approval faster than I've ever had before. No exaggeration-when I hit the submit button the approval came back in less than a second. Usually you get the spinning thinking mode but there was none of that. I just checked Equifax and Comenity/VA did an SP on me on 9/18 which is the date I joined the Virgin America points program in order to transfer Amex points to it. I guess the approval was based off of that SP. Certainly makes me happy as I was fully expecting that there would be a hard inquiry. The application was not done via any SCT as I just applied thru the main application page.
Awesome approval, Irish! - So where in Australia are you taking me?

Still working out all the details. First stop is Sydney and then probably onto Cairns, maybe Melbourne. Who knows. Trip will involve lots of drink and eating, general debauchery

Congrats Irish. How I wish I could get in with Comenity
You never know, did you try?
I've tried 3 times now and no go. Once I was two points from their highest internal scoring model and still denied.
