The CC Approval Board is a place to learn about successful CLIs and approvals of new cards. This is why members often include revelant information about their own credit profile, their APRs and CLs, and reports that are pulled (or not pulled) in the process.
It is also an opportunity to celebrate an accomplishment! We are glad that members can share in each others successes! However, we have noticed that some members are posting generic responses en masse to Approval threads.
Don't be that member.
First, we are celebrating individual accomplishments. Mass responses trivialize the earnest efforts of our members. Secondly, mass responses may prevent topics of more interest or relevance from being discussed by members at-large, as threads are bumped to the top of the Board based on recent posts. Finally, generic responses on a mass level are considered "thread bombing," which is against our Forum TOS. Members who "bomb" responses may see their posts removed and may face suspension or loss of posting privileges.
Thank you for your understanding and for helping make the myFICO Forums a great community!

Thank you for posting this! I've been very annoyed with one particular person recently. Every time I see that particular person's comment, I always think "Someone found a way to become a Valued Contributor without actually contributing anything!"
I think we need to add a Captcha system verification for someone that wants to post more than 1 reply every 5 minutes
That would surely slow down the every 2 minute posting from particular members that run down pages of posts and then hit reply to all of them and paste in the same garbage on all of them.
I know this sounds stupid, but I'm serious, what is thread bombing? Forgive me for not having a clue what this means.

Not stupid at all. I read this post twice trying to figure it out. So your not alone.
I think the approval section should be like the Smorgasboard where posts in there don't count towards overall post counts. That will deter these kinds of postings.

If I am not mistaken, it means the use of an unrelated comments , pictures, video or other things ... If this is not correct, you are more than welcome to correct me.
So is an example of this going to each post in the approvals section and putting, "Congrats" on every single one? Or is there some way to "bulk" post on multiple threads all at once?
As for the thread bombing, I'm assuming that means going to multiple threads and posting the same generic answer over and over again. I've seen someone do that, and whenever I see a post by that person I already know what it is going to say. That definitely gets old fast.

+1 Basically what it is.. Going Congrats without anything else meaningful added to posts on tons of posts which causes older posts to be brought to the top results again on approvals. If one wants to add a personal touch to each congrats and some other stuff that is relevant/meaningful than that is a nice other then a generic Congrats! on every approval post old or new.
