DCU Journey

I joined DCU in January. Opened a checking and savings and had direct deposit . I applied for a CC back in Feb and was denied. My fico's were around 650.  Since that time I joined NFCU as I was disappointed in DCU and I switched my direct deposit to NFCU last month. I thought I would keep DCU opened in case I ever needed a car loan. Today for the hell of it since Equifax score went up (my October FICO that DCU reported was 727 ) I applied for the Visa again. The message I got was approved ! I asked for $10,000. I am still not believing it. Do they send an email or any verification that you were approved? I am now thinking I imagined it, LOL. No messages or anything that I am approved other than the message that flashed in front of my eyes for it seems a brief second. Also I did this from the lending suite where it said apply. It did not give me a choice of what kind of Visa card. When I go back to the lending suite is still just shows " apply for a visa". I am confused. Not sure if its a real approval.

Re: DCU Journey

Can't help you m8  on this one since don't have dcu cc yet just checking/savings.

I think they will ask for poi before they approve it.

Maybe some one else should answer this one.

I use DCU as my main bank. They are not the best when it comes to communication. Best bet is to call or chat with them on Monday to find out your initial starting line and they most likely will want POI, most likely a recent pay stub.

If it said approved, your all set. Let us know what your SL is.

Re: DCU Journey

So I did a chat with DCU. They said I was approved for Visa Rewards at $10,000 / 12/5 % . If I wanted to try to switch to Platinum the interest would be 9.5%. I would have to call in. I don't think I am going to do that as they may do another hard pull and ask for POI . Right now all they said is I will receive my Visa Rewards card in the mail.  They didn't say anything about sending in POI

Re: DCU Journey

Congratz on the approval! Seems like they want to be you're main credit card Smiley Wink

Just curious did you have you're direct deposit with them? I started banking with them during the summer so I'm interested in knowing. Maybe I should split my payroll between USAA and DCU Smiley Very Happy
