thanks evryone.....my next question is how long would it take to surpass or equal my csp of 17k. What would be the best advise on handling my new discover card to maximize increased and/or second card?

Chill out on opening new accounts. Let you scores go up and try for periodic CLI. No one can tell you how long it will take for your Discovery reach 17K.

If i remember correctly, you can request an increase after 3 mths or 3 statements correct? Also if you hit the button before then, will it be a HP?

My increase button has always been there since I opened my disco account but wasnt sure if itll be a HP or SP before 3 statements...

Credit Limit is not so bad, I think I finally opened 

a Discover 2 years ago and it's at 13.5K ATM..

Plus I have another at 5K so growth is possible :-)

Just rack up all those first year bonus dollars!!!

For some reason I looked at my credit report in July, when I applied for navy cc and and also disco cc, my house bill credit card(FU) was reported at 56% and my big spend card(CSP) was at 70% due to my wedding at the end of June. Do you think that was why I got my small sl on my disco(1k) and navy(700) approvals? Its way lower now but im not looking for another card for 12 mths but i was very curious about that. Was my timing wrong?

My approval was back in July, my last post was about me maybe appling at thecwrong time with the high balances on my 2 cards at the time
