I'm a little late on posting this but I have some free time so here we go...
I got my Secured Discover card in July 2019. It was my first credit card...ever.
My initial deposit was $500. My 7th statement cut about two weeks ago. My card graduated at literally 12:00 AM on the 5th day post statement cut.
Yes, I checked at exactly 12:00 Am and watched my limit go from $500 to $2500. It was pretty cool.

I did not use this card near as much as my Capital One. My Cap One is definitely my daily driver. With that said I charged roughly 50 to a 150 dollars on the card each month. Made on average 2 to 3 payments per month. Balance was paid to $0 before statement cut 90 percent of the time.
Overall I would definitely recommend this card to "credit beginners". Also, word of advice to those just starting their credit journey, whatever you do try your absolute best to avoid subprime creditors e.g. " credit one". Your future self will thank you.
You wouldn't believe how many "pre approved" mailers they sent within the last 8 months.
