Re: Discover CLI

Congrats. That's awesome. I never received a DD... Maybe I'll try my next time with them.

Discover IT $500 increase ($3700 to $4200), called in for double dip and got an extra $500 to $4700. Card is my first card and is just over a year old. Moderate spend. Started at $1500.

Congrats on your sweeeet DD CLI!
I am scavenging for details on how and when to request CLI's on the one I just got approved today. I have a few questions I would like to ask you:
Was the first $500 CLI automatic, offered by email or website, or did you requested it online before calling for the DD?
To get from $1500 to $3700 in little over a year, can you share how many times did it got CLI'd, the amounts, how often, and if it was automatic, offered, or requested?
What was your monthly spending average, versus your UTIL %?

Thank you very much!

Re: Discover CLI

None of my CLIs have been automatic. I tend to request every 2-3 months. At first, I was getting approved every time but then got denied and probably waited an extra 1-2 months before this last one.

Moderate spend. I think my highest balance was $2500 and that was just partial down payment when I bought a vehicle. Interesting enough, i thought the higher usage and immediate payoff would grease the wheels for a higher CLI. However, it ended up being my first denial, lol.

If you read the discover threads here, you'll see that there seems to be no predictability to discover.
