Just wanted to let all of you know about my auto CLI..I have read on here a few times that after paying off a larger balance with Discover that you have been carrying for some time you get a auto CLI, or a good chance of one. Well it was funny i had paid off all of my balances and yesterday i was trying to click on the Luv button and it was telling me I cannot proceed at this time and to call customer service. So when i got home from work i called and requested a sp cli and she said "that may be difficult as we just gave you one 2 days ago" I said WHAT??? I did not notice online..Small bump but ill take it..Went from 1700 to 2300...Love Discover..

PS if it helps I was carrying a balance of $1400ish for over 8 months. As soon as i paid it about 10 days later i received the cli.

Congrats and thanks for sharing. So did you PIF?  I have been carrying a balance too. At around $1600 =/-

I have been paying but also putting on anywhere for $100-300 each month, so my balance has been remaining about the same.  I just paid down to $1000 for this month and I am curious if I need to pay it down to 0 or 10% util.  So I wonder what you did.  I will be at my 6 month anniversary date this July. I have seen 6 and 7 months as the dates for auto CLI.

Thanks again for sharing.

Re: Discover IT auto CLI :)

Congrats! And good to know! I'll be completing a balance transfer to my DCU card to save a little money on interest! Hopefully they'll show me some LUV!

Re: Discover IT auto CLI :)

Well I'm trying this out at the moment. It's been 8 months and no cli. I've been carrying a balance of $0-550 of a $1800 limit seeing if either the CLI button works or I get an auto CLI. No luck yet but I just paid in full my balance and I'm going to wait a few days. Hopefully I get the same outcome and finally get a CLI.

Also congrats on yours.
