Hey MyFICO,
Since this forum has been so valuable to my rebuild, I wanted to share that my Discover Secured card graduated the other day! Hopefully these data points will be helpful/give hope to someone else:
I graduated 3 days after my 16th statement cut (noticed CLI and ability to request CLI). I received the official email from Discover the day after that (timestamp was just after midnight). This is now my highest limit card, with my Capital One Quicksilver in second place at a $1k limit.
TIP: My APR wasn't reduced automatically. I hopped in to chat and specifically asked for it. The rep was happy lower it. While I always PIF before the statement cuts, I thought it may be helpful if I ever needed to carry a balance in the future.
Congrats on the apr, cli and grad! Trio!
Congrats! All around good news. Keep up that good work!!!
Congratulations on the all around good news!
Congrats! 16 months is on the long end, did you have any issues with them like over limit or missing a payment? And if so, when did they happen? I think I'm at 14 months now, but I accidentally only did a partial payment back in november or December.
Congrats! I just found out that I graduated too!! i think its my 9th statement, I figured after they didnt give it to me on the 7th, that I would never graduate. I went from $300.00 secured to $2,000.00 unsecured
Thank you Discover!
@Brian_Earl_Spilner -- I didn't have any issues with them. I'm surprised that I graduated with my FICO, I was expecting to be closer to where you're at when it happened. Hopefully you'll graduate within a statement or two.
@lhessler816 -- Congrats!!
Congratulations!
