I've had my Discover It for a year now. Started as a $500 secured card last October, got raised to $1800 when it unsecured. But it's got a 22.99% APR. I pay it in full every month, so I don't pay interest, but it still seems so high! I was reading about people asking for a lower APR after they've had the card for a year. So I logged on to discover's website and I saw that my limit is now $2500! I didn't get a message or email or regular mail about it. I have been using it and paying it off, especially now that Amazon purchases are the 5% category.
I'm happy about the auto CLI but I wonder, does that mean they probably wouldn't lower my APR?
Thanks for any ideas.
Congratulations on your Discover Card automatic increase!
Other members more familar with this card can answer your inquiry on an APR reduction possibility.
Congrats on your Disco auto-CLI! Can't help to ask for a APR reduction.

Yes you can. After being approved of a CLI last March, I contacted them through a secure message asking for an APR reduction. It didn't take them long to approve me for a small APR reduction. However, I took it as a win. ![]()
I've heard other members post about either calling in or sending a secure message for an APR reduction. It's can't hurt to contact Discover to ask. Once I'm out of my 0% intro period, I plan on calling in as well, my APR will be something like 22.xx%.
Congratulations on your Discover CLI!
Congrats on the increase!
Congratulations on the limit increase! If you reach out for an APR reduction I hope they grant it to you also!

Grats on your auto luv ![]()
Once a year you can ask for an APR reduction and you can do it even with an auto move up. I would call in for it.
Congrats on your Discover auto love!
