This is the only card I desire that I don't have yetI was denied because too low income, so I don't think I can even recon. Maybe one day~
Too low income? What did you put if you don't mind me asking?
I don't mind sharing for stat purposes. I'm a college student not working many hours, so I get $9000 annual income. Hopefully I'll get more hours and I'll be able to apply with a higher income in 2015.
@14Fiesta wrote:So my Citi decline letter came today, and the ONLY thing they list as reason for denial is because:
"The consumer reporting agency serving your area (Experian) has reported only a limited credit history for you."
I only got this type of letter when I couldn't generate a FICO score. Is it possible Citi has a longer minimum credit history requirement than Chase? How should I go about trying to recon this (if it's even worth the effort?)
Congratulations!...Thanks For Sharing.

Definitely apply with a higher income in 2015. The reason I asked is I am in the same boat as you. I'm a college freshman who only works part time. I put down $12,000 and that's what got me in.

WHAT? Why are you quoting my denial and saying congrats?!? My recon overturn is what you should have quoted.
I'm just kidding. Thanks for thanks.
Congratulations! You contacted the EO for the recon? Or just the normal backdoor number?
Still need to recon my double cash denial.

I contacted the EO through the backdoor number. GO NOW! RECOOOOONNNNN! It's better than taking no for an answer!

Congratulations. Always good to recon. If I may ask what wasyourAAOA an scores when you applied? Also any baddies? Sorry I'm on my mobile device so I can't see your scores. Thanks again an congratulations.
My welcome kit came today, but not the card. It did have the score through:
My EQ score was 711, however I think its a bankcard FICO as the range is 250-900.
The factors that adversely affected my credit score:
It's now confirmed I got a $500 credit line and $200 Cash Advance line.
Edit to update:
I just looked at my EQ report again and Citi did HP my EQ during recon so I took 2 HPs to get it. Yup time to garden for sure!
Well, finally attempted a recon: no dice
Talked to an application supervisor. Denied for a few baddies that will be falling off in the next couple of months. Also denied for short revolving history (less than 6 months is what she said). She said they keep the applications on file for 90 days, and to call back when the baddies fall off to get a reconsideration at that time.
