Congrats!!!! Very nice!!!! Only you should make that decision  to get a Discover Card.....I must say though that Discovers website to make online account payments and to check the status of your account as well as free EQ Fico scores are very very nice....and their smart phone app for android is superior!!! One thing is if you get it and then plan to garden....your inquires will all be together and fall off at the same time which would be cool!!!!

I agree with evertying you said about Discover...however, it's a TU FICO, not EQ.

I really wish it was EQ, though, because I already get the TU through my walmart card.

800+ for all 3 CRAs.

Student loan forgiveness/discharge FINALLY complete.

Very true Vegas! I know I won't abuse the credit as I always PIF. Just a little worried about having more than I can use and getting limits dropped or accounts closed because I'm not using it.

Is this common?

10x your maximum monthly spend so your utilization is always under 10%. I spend $5000 in a heavy month so I'm aiming for $50k in credit cards.

If you split your spending habbits you should be able to put a solid $500-1000 each on 2-3 cards, PIF at the end of the month, and get some decent rewards. Then you can switch it up after 3 months. CLD's are much more common than account closing, especially on cards with AF's.

I remember my business Discover had a limit of $18k and they reduced it to $8k because we didn't use it that much but they never closed the account.

Pulled the trigger on Discover as well and got approved! Awesome first app spree...definitely hitting the garden to let the accounts age.

Like with Amex, any way to check the limits on the Freedom and It??

If you don't mind me asking...how much do you run through those three cards combined in a month? Unfortunately, my spending isn't too high since I pay a lot of extra on my student loans. I'm worried that maybe I went too far apping the Discover and just have more than I need now. What can I say...these are the three cards I wanted and figured why not go for broke and then garden. As long as no one closes my account it was worth it and nice to have the available credit should I ever need it.

Instant approvals on all 3! BCE - 5k, Freedom - 7k, Discover - ??...thanks to everyone who offered advice, encouragement, or listened while I contemplated going for new cards over the last several months. Off to the garden for me...

Planning on going for all three and a possible travel rewards card...anyone know who is most sensitive to inquiries so I can do that one first?

Ex: 4 HP (3 auto, 1 Verizon)

TU: 3 HP (2 auto, 1 CC)

EQ: 1 HP (1 CC)

- all HPs older than 6 months old

Student loans and an auto loan, clean reports. Util. is around 12% if my Barclay that was paid to $0 on 02/24 posted to the bureaus.

Cheers

Congrats on your approvals Smiley Happy
