Just approved for Discover IT Cash Back!

Very excited here! I've been gardening for a while, keeping an eye on credit karma for my reports as well as my actual FICO scores. This year and next is where all my baddies drop off, and these past few months I've seen several thousand in back debt being wiped. I lost a couple hard inquiries too. So I had been checking pre-approval links pretty religiously, and Disco had been giving me approval for their secured card only. Today I got a glossy envelope in the mail that told me to check -- about 2 weeks after I last looked. Lo and behold, approved for Cash Back with a fixed APR listed. They gave me 1k to start. Is that lower than normal? How do CLI's work with Discover?

Congratulations on the approval. And honestly that's not a bad starting line from Discover as I was started off with $750 with no credit history. You can request CLIs from discover whenever you want as its usually a soft pull via their website. Also if you ever get an auto credit line increase, you can try to double dip to increase the total amount. As long as you take care of your credit card, you should do fine. Discover seems to have no order to when they grant CLIs though.

I believe $500 is the lowest sl for Discover but don't hold me to that. Congrats though! I just got mine and I love it.
