I know it isn't much but just approved for Macy's store card for $300. First time posting in the forums for an approval
Any one have experience's with their account with Macy's? Looking to get credit limit increases frequently. Thank you!
My experience with Macy's is that they only give very small CLI's every 6 months ($100-$300), but that Bloomingdale's, owned by the same bank/ company (DSNB), gives larger increases of $400-700.
Both still only give CLI's every 6 months and thre have been times they did not give them.; They're not known for frequent nor large CLI's.
If you want that, you need Barney's! ![]()
also, if you just received the card, if you call in to the number on the back upon first receiving it, they may increase your initial CLI after you answer some verification questions. Hope this helps.

This. I was originally approved for $300. Called right in and was raised to $600.

Congrats!! I started at $300 18 months ago and now my limit is $2000 plus major purchase and special events accounts at $2500 each. Lots of folks have much more.
Congrats

Congrats. With your Ex score and # of inquiries that is great that they gave you a chance.
Just use it, carry a small or 0 balance, don't apply for any more credit so you can raise your scores, and ask for a cli at 4 months.
After I posted this, the rep convinced me to apply for Bloomingdales Card which I did and was approved for $200. I guess it is the same bank and call center. No more now. Going to garden :-)
