I have been a long time lurker and love all these boards for the great advice. Last year my scores were in the low 600's and are now in the mid 700's. About two weeks ago, I went on a little app spree. Here are the details:
VyStar Credit Union - I have had a long banking relationship with them. I had a Visa Signature Rewards and a Platinum Visa both with 5k limits. I called to see if I could combine my cards into one and they approved it and bumped me to 20k with their Cash Rewards at 9.5%. Pulled TransUnion Fico 9. Score at the time was 745. I asked the rep what was the highest limit they offer and he told me 75k.
Penfed Credit Union - I opened a savings account last year and applied for the PCR card and was denied. Tried again this year and was approved for 17.5k at 14.99%. Pulled Equifax FICO 9 which was 758.
Scott Credit Union - Currently my main credit union and I have had a long relationship with them. I have had the Extreme Visa card for a few years that has sat at a 1k limit. Applied for an increase to 20k and they countered with 10k at 9%. I happily accepted! They pulled TransUnion Fico 8. Website says max is 25k for their Visa
Chase - I have always wanted the Southwest Rapid Rewards Priority card. My family and I fly Southwest a lot (slowed down due to COVID of course) and I just felt like it would be a good card to have. I tried last year and got denied. I applied tonight and I just knew I was going to get denied or get a letter in the mail message. Waited about a minute and BOOM!!! Instant approval for 14.3k at 22%!!! I know the percentage is high but I PIF. They pulled Experian and TransUnion. No prior relationship with Chase. That's 50.8k total!!! I am done for the year and off to the garden!!!
Data Points currently:
EQ: 741 EX: 739 TU: 753
Inqs: EQ: 8 TU: 9 EX: 11
4 late payments that are over 5 years old. Utilization currently at 3%. 190k income.
Congrats on the increases and approvals! Thank you for the data points as well.
