Congrat....You are on a roll. I like the way you choose which cards to get. Very wise. Just wondering, do you think its AF is worth even though its very small? I mean, most of its benefits, I am sure, you must have with other line-up of cards that you hold? Is there any benefit/feature that stands out for you compared to other cards that you have, other than its SUB and hope for consolidating NFCU total exposure into one account???

I, myself, have Platinum with the same limit of $50k for a long time, and I am also very much interested in transferring to FC if I do choose to get it....NFCU is very much sensitive to number of total cards obtained in 24 months....Looking forward to how your request of consolidating goes...I hope they allow you....

Thanks very much @JoeRockhead, @Eric958, and @Janneman!

Yes, @Janneman, I normally like to choose my cards carefully and thoughtfully.  I've been known to app in-the-moment, but try to resist that urge.

Honestly, I have mixed feelings about the Flagship Rewards.  For Navy's best card, I think they could do better.  It's overdue for a refresh to stay more competitive with some other cards.  Yes, I can earn 2% or 3% without an AF elsewhere.   Navy is by-far the largest US credit union, though, and they have great service so I like having a relationship with them including cards.  The AF is nominal on the FSR and even though some would argue not to include a SUB, I factor in that the $400 SUB essentially pays the AF for 8 years, not to mention the Amazon Prime benefit, which some of our members have gotten more than once.  I'm hoping within a few years, they will remake this card and either raise the benefits or delete the AF or both.   The great value to me is that I am striving for high credit limits with some of the largest and most desirable lenders, and this card is Navy's only card that grows to $80K.  I see high limits as a benefit for more flexibility in using my cards without any worry about individual utilization, plus the aggregate utilization padding.  And high limits means I could close other cards if I wanted to without worrying about lost Total Credit Limits.   Sometimes Navy gives BT opportunities (and never any BT fees), so a high limit helps make the card more useful in that regard.   And as I discussed in that other reply up-thread, I saw great value in the Platinum card's low APR but in reality didn't expect to need it.  The only usage I've put on it in 4 years is just for the sake of maintaining some activity to build relationship with Navy.  So FSR is a much more practical card for me.

Thanks for the kind words about the CL reallocation and I will post about the results.
