Re: NFCU NREWARDS GRADUATED TO CASH REWARDS.

Congratulations! Woo hoo ! You are doing a bang up job, strong work !!

IMHO would wait and go for the 3rd card first, then try for any available CLI's. In the current economic environment FI's have tightened the reins including NFCU. Much better to receive another large SL than 1-2 small CLI's. Besides if you are denied for a CLI it was only a SP and you can try again the following month. Versus a possible denial on the 3rd card next month because you've reached your internal maximum unsecured credit limit which would waste a HP.  Just another view and thanks for sharing your great news!

I appreciate the post and honesty.  I've seen a lot of people approved for Navy Fed cards without going the secured route with your initial scores but that's hindsight for ya.   Congrats on the progress and graduation.  Best of luck on your credit journey.

When people arrive to Myfico forum for the first time and realize all the good information they've been missing for years and come here with crappy credit score. It hits them in the face and want to speed up things to accomplish and get credit cards that seniors members already have. The majority of us don't want  to wait and go the secured route. Time and patience is key to be succesful in life and that applies to any subject. But we are humans and thats the way we roll Smiley Very Happy. I always try to spread the best advice based on my experience but I read a lot from other members data points and use their experiences to my favor. Thanks best of luck on your journey as well.
