I've had periods of good and bad credit throughout my adult life. The last few years have kind of been a crap show, medical issues, multiple deaths in my family in a short period.
My Exp fico 8 was 597 on Dec.26 not sure what the others were. Today TU 655, EQ 668, EX 687
I got 4 crappy builder cards in the past year with crazy fees, but I kept them up. I am former military so I joined NFCU 2 months ago, I was at 90% utilization when I joined, and my scores were 615-627 when I joined. I held off on the app.
I was planning to wait a little longer, I got ticked off at one of my cards this morning and pulled the trigger on NFCU and got a Cash Rewards Card with a 15k limit. I have late pays and 1 derog. Totally shocked.
