That is Fabulous!!! Congratulations on the new NFCU approval with also a APR Reduction!
Tip- If your cards are older than 6 months, log into your account and request a cli online. That way it is usually a soft pull. If you call them for a cli, I have read that it results in a hard pull.
Once you have done that, call them directly to request interest rate reductions.
They are very friendly and accomodating.
Cheers.
Thanks Credit magic!

Happy to share, hope this helps.
I appreciate you sharing additional DPs! 😃👍
Edit to add:
It is good to know their stance on the CLOC product... enjoy the excitement, I am reeling in your and others as I garden just a 'wee bit more!
@Anonymous wrote:Yea at the end of the day I would rather have The Plat at 40k; that with a couple mouse clicks I could borrow 12k @ 6.99% if I wanted to without going for a loan and filling out an app and taking more inquirys.
My goal is to get it too 50k.
Keeps me liquid for my small biz inventory, investment or whatever.
Cheers.
@Anonymous @ I have a similar goal for some of the same reasons -cheers
... the the standard 4k CLIs it will take a bit of additional time to get there.
I have a Platinum at 23.1K and a Flagship at 30K.
Down the road I may consider combining a portion of the limits. Was your increase the 4K special?
Good luck on your journey! 👍
@Anonymous wrote:Called Navy Fed today to see if I was eligible for Interest rate reductions on my Platinum and Cash Rewards cards.
Plat- lowered from 8.99% to 6.99%
Cash Rewards - lowered from 14.99 to their lowest available 9.65%.
Additionally increased my Platinum credit limit to 40k.
Super friendly rep. Absolute pleasure to deal with.
I LOVE Navy Federal!
Wow! That's great! Good for you for phoning and asking. After how many months with each of those cards? Any additional relevant for you DP's you could perhaps share w us? 🙏🏻
@Anonymous congratulations. Thanks for mentioning the CLOC situation. I think I was declined for one with NFCU last year and it threw me off.
Which Navy credit card do I apply for first when starting out with Navy non-secured cards, Platinum or Cash Rewards..? I have a checking and savings account with Navy (about a year old), as well as a secured card they have already done one auto CLI on. My scores are all around 675-690.
Also, do you think it would really be a benefit to get my mortgage through them also? I read they value relationships...I just got my car loan through Wells Fargo though so...hope that wasn't a missed opportunity.
Thanks.
Congrats!!!! Darn good CSR call 🥳🥳🥳
Some great success here, congrats to it ![]()
Navy does indeed ROCK!!! That's their typical service experience. Don't ever remember a bad experience. Congrats on all the success!!!
