Odds of Venture Approval? - Update: Approved

TU-706 (8 Inquiries)

EQ-688 (4 Inquiries)

EX-689 (8 Inquires)

16% utilization with a total CL of 84,200. This will be down to 12% when my statement closes at the start of next month.

It has also been 3+ years since last late. No collections or public records.

I also have a Savor card from them with a 10500 limit so not sure if that would help my chances.

Do you all think I have good chances or should I hold off?

Re: Odds of Venture Approval?

If you got a savor, I think you got a good chance, as long as you didn't open the savor in the last 6 months.

I'll add to that...how many new cards have been opened in the last 3/6/12 months?  The Venture is becoming difficult to attain for the folks Captial One determines to be churners.  Any prequals?

Prob like 7 in the past 12 months. Yes I checked the prequals and I seem to be prequalified for the Venture! So maybe that’s a good sign?

Also I opened the savor almost 3 years ago (it was pced from the QS earlier this year). It was the 2nd card I’ve opened so I definitely have positive history with them.

Really? I’ve definitely opened more than 9 cards in 2 years.

It's apparently new and they have to determine you're a churner from what I've read. I guess they look at how many cards have been opened and closed in that time? I dont know.
