Opened a new account w/ PenFed and they talked me into applying for a credit card 
Have a couple really old collections on my EQ, but several years of excellent payment history, low util, etc.
Approved for $5K @ 13.24%! Woohoo!
They didn't seem to mind my less-than-perfect report, or a couple newer accounts.

Congrats! I need to drop my util down before I apply with PenFed. Hopefully soon.
BTW, you have the best Discover card design
Haha thanks! My util is pretty low - maybe 20% or so. They're super friendly, although their processes are .... interesting 
And thanks - I'm a big Sharks fan, and fortunately SJC is only a couple hours away so I can go see games pretty easily

Nice! Yeah I used to live downtown on San Fernando and 3rd so we would just walk to the games
