Penfed CC Approval question

So I got approved for the Chase Sapphire Preferred card with a 16,000 limit and was itchy to find another rewards card. So I decided to take a shot at the penfed no annual fee visa signature rewards. I got the message that it was referred to a loan officer and dindn't list a limit for consideration. Is that pretty much a denial?

No, pretty much the routine if it's not an instant approval.  Even those get referred to a loan officer.

Not necessarily, it just means the computer couldn't decide and its up to a humans eyes - which is usually the case for computer approvals regardless.

Remember the PenFed pulls are useful for up to 90 days, so if there is something else you were looking to apply for now would be the time.  CC limits are set at $50K leaving you $3k for another card without shifting limits.  PLOC is also an option with a limit up t0 $25K.  Congrats!
