Re: Pre-qualified with chase

The Freedom was absolutely the right choice! The only good thing about Slate is the initial balance transfer promo. If you happen to have a somewhat large balance elsewhere paying high interest, you might want to also apply for the Slate right now and maybe get it on the same hard pull!
If you apply, you will likely get the 10-30 day message, but when you call in you could very well get approved manually like I did!

Re: Pre-qualified with chase

Thank you guys.

I really do not have much balances to transfer. I have 10,700 in Credit among my cards and I am using about $2500 right now.

Out of curiosity I did a pre qual with discover and was offered the IT card.

Re: Pre-qualified with chase

The Discover pre-qual is likely the least reliable of all the major cards. Don't even bother unless you need it. You would be better off waiting until your Freedom's intro APR expires and then sign up, they are essentially the same card.

Discover Pre-Qual isn't worth a darm put Donald Duck or whatever else you can dream up and pick 4 numbers of your choice for last four of SSN and you will find offers as well....Dont trust it

Thank you for the honest information. I would've never thought it was a spoof like that.
