So, question: I haven't had an increase on my card at all since my SL....and it's next on my CLI target list. You're saying that on the online CLI form, you enter the requested amount you want? Do they typically counter-offer if your request isn't to their liking? Or does it straight out deny?
From my experience, online request is a SP and they'll counter offer. Shoot for the moon.
I just went from $25k to $40k on an instant approval. I shoulda asked for more

@Cashbackjunky Hmmm, that's good to know. Because my card does still a good bit of use currently, even with my AOD card. Was originally hoping to get from 6k to at least 12k......but......if they're not shy about giving out healthy limits, then I may go bigger. Wonder if there's a cap, like "triple limit" before they counter-offer?

Any recommendations on how long to wait before requesting a CLI? I just opened my BOA AGR card about two weeks ago. I've put all my bills for this month on there (will be paying off in the next day or two.) Originally noticed about a week ago no CLI link had appeared. Logged in last night and see the link is there. Don't wanna be premature in clicking the link so was curious how long one should typically wait after initially opening?

From what others have said on here, if the luv button shows up, click it. No harm in doing so. If no dice this time, give it a month or 2.
Report back if you do ask for a CLI. I wanna live vicariously lol
Cheers!

LOL- will do. Thanks. I'm going to give it a day or two and let my payment catch up and bring my balance down to at least 1%-2%. My bills for this month took up 27% of my available credit limit on my card. I'll click on that bad boy this weekend and see if "we" don't get a CLI.
As an avid Amtrak rider... at least my bills this month cleared the $1k needed in the first 90 days and so I'll get the 20k AGR point SUB. ![]()
Will report back once I ask for some love... to be continued...

Congrats on your increase
Sorry, I really wasn't trying to highjack this approval.....just learned something valuable from the DP's, so it seemed a good time to ask. This is about @SoCalGardener right now..... Congrats again on the very nice CLI!

Thanks! And I've been waiting for an opportunity to say I LOVE your username! (Yeah, I'm showing my age...whatever...)
Haha Thank you! Yeah, I've always been a massive fan of his music and all-around mystique. ✌
When I'm in the mood to drool, I watch "The Doors Live at the Bowl '68" (on DVR), which was filmed at the Hollywood Bowl. Oh...my....goodness.... The Lizard King literally OOZES sensuality throughout! I always make sure I have a supply of paper towels on hand for mopping up. ![]()
If there are any young whippersnappers around here who [somehow!] don't know who we're talking about, it's the late, great, inimitable Jim Morrison.

The form asks for various, general information, some of which is pre-filled when you open it (assuming you're logged in), like your name and address and citizenship. Then it asks for several things; IIRC, this includes your annual income and its source, your employment status, whether you pay to rent or own your home, how much your housing payment is, and how much you're requesting for your credit limit.
Since this is the one and only time I've done this (at BofA), I can't way what happens if they can't match your request CL. In my case, it was an immediate approval for the full amount I requested. I'm purely guessing, but I'd imagine they'd counter with a lesser amount and give you the option to accept/decline it, but I don't know.

No worries!! I appreciate the thought, but I never mind thread drift and don't feel hijacked at all. Ask away if you still have questions! ![]()
