I plan on applying for a Chase Slate card tomorrow and kind of wondering if I will get approved for it after looking at my EX report. My stats are in the signature and the only account I have open is from my wife's Chase Freedom card, which I'm just an authorized user on it. She's currently paying a $1300 amount that she tranferred and could be the reason why my EX score is so different than my other two. I have no other debts on my side and have a $235 collection bill that hasn't cleared yet on my report since I paid it in October. Here's my other info:
Utilization: 46% (though I don't use the card and it was 2% throughout 2016)
Hard inquiries: 0
History: 10+ years
Payments: 100%
So, being in Indiana, do you think that I'll be fine with getting the Slate once I go to the bank tomorrow? I prequalified for the Slate, Sapphire Preferred and Discover IT cash back cards online as well as received several prequalified letters for the Slate last month.

Chase usually pulls EX, so maybe you'd better wait.

I saw in some credit pull reports that they use TU in Indiana. So, how long do you think I should wait? Wife is making $50 payments on time every month on her charge. Or should I look to apply for a different card that doesn't use EX? This would be my first card in almost three years that I'm applying for.

Maybe you're right, I really don't know.
Got approved for the FU with $3500 limit. I was very surprised that I got it without any questions.

Congratulations, glad that I was wrong, and that you didn't follow my advice
Now be sure to let us know if they pulled EX or TU
I should get the card in a few days and I'll let you know which one they pulled.
Chase has several criteria that they look at when reviewing credit card applications. If your FICO score is low, the key offsets are high income level, low debt-to-income ratio, and low utilization on other accounts. I was recently pre-qualified for the CSP and thought long and hard about applying also. I applied on-line and was approved in about 15 seconds (with fair credit and low utilization on other cards and high income). Glad for the 50,000 bonus points I will earn during the first three months! I say go for it!
