Re: Do I have A Chance In Getting Approved For CSP

Many thanks @Nixon

I took your advice and I applied for the Chase Freedom first... was approved for $7000, then applied immediately for the CSP and was instantly approved for 12K Smiley Happy

Congrats! I was going to say that Freedom is probably the harder card to get, so you should do it first. You did that anyway, and got some great limits to boot. Don't forget to do some research on using the cards together to maximize your UR points!

Do I have A Chance In Getting Approved For CSP

Later this month I really would like to apply for the CSP, but only if I have a good shot in getting approved. I have a little over 3 years of credit and AAoA is a little over 1 year. I know Chase pulls EX here in NY, so I'm hoping my current score in my sig is good enough? Also I don't have any CC's that have a 5K limit yet, so maybe because of that I will get denied by Chase? So basically should I try for the CSP or play it safe and just go for Freedom?

Starting Score (May 2014): 580 TU | 574 EQ | 572 EX
Current Score (April 2015): 673 TU | 650 EQ | 664 EX

EX should be good to go.

I'd shotgun it and apply for both Freedom and CSP same time (but only if you get instant approval on the first app)

Any more details about your credit profile? Score isn't everything you know..

My credit profile is clean... no baddies. Only thing that really concerns me is that my credit is still considered "new" being that it's only 3 years old. I don't have a mortgage or any other loans. If I did apply for both Freedom and CSP, would it be just 1 HP?

Forgot to say my utilization is pretty low... I usually keep it around 4%

Re: Do I have A Chance In Getting Approved For CSP

With those scores I would be shocked if you didn't get approved.  They gave me a CSP with a 5k limit and my scores were low 600's with 25-35% utli and a couple paid baddies.

Chase CSP $5000 | Capital One $4500 I Amex Delta $3000 I Amazon Visa $1000 I Walmart $1100 | Wells Fargo Visa $800 | Care Credit $5000 I Discover IT $500| Victoria's Secret $1450 | Capital One Playstation $1300 | Lowes $800

Scores: EQ:642 EX:655 TU:660

Wow, that's amazing! Did you already have a checking account with Chase when you applied for CSP?

What I'll do is see if I get instantly approved for Freedom, then I'll shoot for CSP
