Re: Feeling like pulling the trigger...

Okay, just went for it and here are my results:

Chase Freedom - Approved; 2.5k

Amex PRG - Approved; NPSL

Will be apping for BCP & Barclays Arrival either early next month OR I will wait 3 months (Feb)

Overall, very please and happy (obviously) Smiley Very Happy and I'm excited to receive the cards!! The PRG was automatically expedited to me, while I called chase and had to expedite that card as well. I'm just really nervous/hoping I am able to get the BCP and Barclays Arrival and then it's off to the garden for me!

BoA 123 $2.5k (11/12) // Discover It $3.9k (7/13) // Citi Forward Student $3.8k (7/13) // Chase Freedom 5k (12/13) // Amex Blue Cash 6k (1/15)

Starting Score: No Credit History (11/12)
Current Score: MyFico 761
Goal Score: 800+

Re: Feeling like pulling the trigger...

You could have done the BCP today and get away with a SP.   If you do it after today the AMEX system will need to HP.

I did it three days ago... and got both BCP and PRG approved.. .one HP.

Discover IT $19,000 == 12/2013
AMEX 12/2013 ---BCP $12,000 === BC $23,000 ----- 04/2014
CHASE SLATE $5,700 === 12/2013
BoA 123 $6000 === 12/2013
Barclay Rewards $1500 == 12/2013

Really? They would only do 1 HP if did both in the same day? The reason I'd rather spread it out is because I want to make sure I meet all the spending requirements for the sign up bonuses

Re: Feeling like pulling the trigger...

I like the way you think.  I don't get why some people want a bunch of low limit cards when they can focus on getting 2-3 big ones first.   After the first $5000 things should move faster.

Yes..only one HP for AMEX on  same day app.  It's a freebie in terms of inquiries but you brought up a good point about meeting new account requirements.

Re: Feeling like pulling the trigger...

Congrats nice outcome

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

I think I'd rather just take another inq, since I don't have too many right now. As much as I'd like to app now, I think I have to wait in order to fullfill the sign up bonuses. Also, I would like a better sign up bonus for the BCP, my dad received an offer from them spend 1k in 3 months get 250$ back

Thank you all! Feels pretty good to be a part of the amex family now!
