Lovely $650 Rent! I'd be happy with $2,650 rent in my area of LA. But we digress 😪@Civil wrote:

I guess I've learned that it really doesn't matter where you live; it's always boring/stressful/SOMETHING. Where I live is where I work and live my mundane day-to-day, without much time to enjoy much of anything. Might as well do that somewhere cheap. That being said, I live in Florida, about 35-40 minutes' drive from the theme parks and touristy garbage, in a city just big enough to have eeeeverything I want/need. Planning a move within the next year, though, to somewhere more interesting and less touristy, but the 15k bump in income will certainly offset the added $200-300/month in rent for a much nicer place.
Congrats on the coming back!
