As far as attempting to have them expedite the card, that's gonna be a long shot. I tried to do the same and was basically told the same answer u got. But here's the thing, I already had a Marriott Rewards number I provided and as I learned, if you don't have one or never supplied it on the application it could take a lil longer before u receive ya card since they have to first generate and enroll u in the Rewards program. But just to give u an idea, I applied late night on May 18th, got approved after verification on May 20th and received the card via UPS on May 25th (but again I was already enrolled in the Rewards program so technically didn't have to go through the business partner review). And oh boy are u gonna get comments, that's a given! I was just on an international flight and the flight attendant who took my Ritz for a purchase couldn't help but comment on the aesthetics. I've yet to present this card somewhere and don't get some sorta side comments lol. Just be ready for it, it's coming haha. Enjoy! ![]()
Congrats! Happy unboxing :]

here's my limeline...
day 5 - certs and Gold status showed up on Marriott
day 6 - card arrived preactivated (AU in same box)
day 6 - ordered plastic cards
day 9 - black and chrome plastic cards arrived (nicest plastic cards I have) All 4 cards swipe
day 14 - lounge club pass arrived
day 18 - 2nd set of metal cards arrived (common when plastics are ordered) all 6 cards swipe
day 19 - AF posted
I was instaproved 3 1/2 months ago and I use the card pretty heavily just because its so fun to swipe, lol. All 4 of my Chase cards were instaproved. Lucky me :]
Wait the Ritz has plastic versions? How do u get one cos I'm so interested in it?!
Nice Congrats!!!!
Still in business partner review, but I offered them my marriott number, and they said it wouldn't matter, but once the review has completed, the card would be expedited to me, so hopefully sometime this week!!!! I did notice that I do have both a Marriott account and a Ritz account and they both have the same number. Should I inquire about that or let it be? I'm not sure why in my Ritz account it just says I'm a member, and not a Gold Member. I thought I was suppose to be Gold, but it's ok anyways.

Can't wait for my first swipe lol
Yeah your Marriott Rewards number would be the same as the Ritz but u cant belong to both Elite Rewards program at the same time. So ur either choose loyalty to Ritz and vice versa depending on which one serves u better. But the good news is your Gold status would always be recognized regardless of staying at a Marriott or Ritz. Just make sure u provide your Rewards number during booking at either property. And don't worry your gonna get ya card pretty soon and smile ya way during ya first swipe loool.

The waiting for this card is just killing me lol. I guess I'm just anxious to start using it, and to see reactions lol.
Does it seem to take wear and use well? I hate seeing good cards all scrathed and abused.
I've had mine for a couple weeks now and for the most part it's held up pretty well to the swiping. I do have one scratch on the front from one of the cashiers torking the card one way so it created a long scratch on the front (similar to what you see on plastic cards from normal use). Not a big deal, but don't get your hopes up that the card will stay prestine. Even though it's metal, it will still scratch.
I will have to say, this card is freaking heavy. The only time someone doesn't say something is when i pay with the chip technology because they don't hold it. It's an interesting card for sure.
Anyway, congrats on your new card!
