Surprised, but very happy to report my first-ever 3x CLI on my Delta Reserve - only a few days after getting this even more surprising auto CLI!!!
My CL on this card went from $1900 to $14,700 in a matter of a few days! To recap:
- I opened this account in Dec 2017 as a Delta Gold with a $1K SL.
- I reallocated $900 to the CL in 2020, bringing it to $1900.
- 4-5 days days ago, out of nowhere (and with 88% utilization on my overall credit profile), Amex gave me an auto CLI, bringing me to $4900.
- 3 days ago, I paid the DR balance to $0. I also paid the Hilton to $0, and paid the Schwab Plat to $5K. I additionally paid the vast majority of my other cards off (brining UTIL below 20%), but Amex wouldn't have a way of knowing that since statements have not yet cut.
- Nevertheless, after a deepdive through old posts, I decided to give it a try now instead of waiting 30-60 days.
- Tonight, I requested 3X the $4900 - and it was instantly approved. My CL is now $14,700.
