I got Amazon in February with a $700 limit. Shut down countless times for CLI. 9th statement cut and I got bumped to $900. I'll take it but no $3,500 for me like everyone swears by!
I got Wally the same month with a paltry $150 limit, also multiple shut-downs for a CLI. Got bumped last month to $400. Tried for larger CLI and no go.
Maybe next year?
I'm still rebuilding though. 2018 is when I'll expect a huge spike in score. I have 2 judgments due to fall off, all of my collections are gone and the 2 student loans with a bunch of lates will be rehabbed (that's actually next month). And all of my inq's from this year will fall off.
Yeah, I have a lot of cards, all but Merrick opened this year. I went from $700 in credit when I opened my Merrick card last November to a total of $12,500 now. Can't wait to see some of these other cards POP!
I'll take this.
Happened to me in a similar manner. I would venture to say that your first year with those requests can be touch and go and sometimes look like thy won't budge, for months.
The best advice I can offer, and I cannot stress this enough, whatever you can do utilization wise, (keep low) as well as regularly using those accounts while PIF those cards and let time run it's course, read up in here on the forums on whatever it takes to raise your TU FICO Score by any measure as long as it goes up.
They focus on TU FICO Scores specifically and it kept me locked down from getting my own Synchrony Cards raised time and again for quite awhile, but the more the TU Score inched upward while maintaining regular usage and payments with them, after a period of time they would (to my surprise) slip in Auto-CLI's without notice.
You will know when they're satisfied enough to extend more credit when those finally come your way when you request them and at some point after that your cards will grow like a weed.
Best of Luck and just hang in there, it will happen.
Thanks so much guys!
Credit Magic you are correct, my TU score has increased a tiny bit but nothing spectacular yet. I will continue to be patient!
I've been pretty good on maintaining good util (except that darn Target card)!
Get your score up around 700 and call CS @ 877-379-8173 and ask for the moon for the limit and let them counter and then repeat every 3-6 months.
I would kill for a $400 limit on Walmart, my current $150 forces me not use it much
IMO and from I have read they are stingy on the Amazon card. They gave me an increase from $700 to $4,000 on my chevron card, and from $1,500 to $10,000 but they would not increase my Amazon card. Oh well, probably because the rewards are so good...
It's 99% TU Fico.
660's=$3500
680's=$6000
700's=$8000 and up.
My personal opinion.

I had over a 700 TU fico when I applied, still didn't get the limit you mentioned even for people with a 660....
