Target $2,000 Auto CLI

Six months like clockwork now!  It's been a long journey with this one.

Dec 2002 - $1200 starting line

~2005 - Changed to a Visa and CLD down to $800

~A few years ago - Changed to MasterCard

Jun 2016 - $500 auto CLI, $1300

Dec 2016 - $1000 auto CLI, $2300

Jun 2017 - $1000 auto CLI, $3300

Dec 2017 - $1000 auto CLI, $4300

Jun 2018 - $2000 auto CLI, $6300

I've used it for 1 or 2 purchases at Target every month, let the balance post on the statement, updated my income monthly (even though it hasn't changed) to the same amount, and paid in full for at least 2.5 years.

Congrats. That’s quite a bit of movement. Mine hasn’t budged in a decade.

I guess I’ll finally start following these steps.

Some combination of those steps has worked for a lot of us that have had the card for a long time.  I was considering closing it at one point due to the really low credit line, but it's nearly an 8x CLI in the past 2 years.  Hopefully this pace will continue and it'll be a $10,300 in June 2019, although I kinda wish they'd drop that $300 at the end.  TD Bank, if you're listening... $1700 is fine next time as long as you put me back on the $2000 train after that.

If we're going to use one of my store cards, wouldn't you rather go to Jordan's Furniture?  We could do the ropes course and then catch an IMAX movie.

My version of ropes course is walking through my son's room without breaking a hip...

I'm a game!
