I recently made a post asking others about their experience with Target RedCard CLI's. Your experience sounds similar to mine, where I had a $1800 CL then was increased to $6000 after the MC upgrade. Another pattern that was found is that after this MC upgrade, myself and some others now recieve a $2000 auto CLI every 6 months. It would be awesome to see a follow up in the future to see if this is also the case for you.
What's your spend pattern looking like? How long to the 6k MC? Trying to get an idea as to how long it might take for me to get to a MC upgrade with a newly opened 2500 SL
I spend anywhere between $20 to $80 a month, $100 at the most. I pay in full and on time every month. I believe I recieved the MC offer after having the card for 6 months.

Awesome, thanks for those DP's...somewhat mirrors my anticipated spend so I'm hopeful, cheers!

I am hoping end of this year I get the upgrade.
Do you usually pay in full or carry some balance? I cant tell which they prefer. Trying to get an increase also.
@azsnake I always pay in full. I usually pay as soon as it post. I do that for all my accounts.
I just had the same thing happen. I've had my card for a VERY long time though. Maybe back to 2007?
@CreditJourney007 wrote:Congrats! Do you remember when your last CLI was? Mine has been at $2100 for 5 months and it really seems like lately people have been going from $2000 - $2500 to the MC at their next increase interval. I'm hoping I'm next soon!
On average, two years / $6000 is where TD grants the MC. How to get to that $6000 CL is the unicorn though.
From what I've seen, they like when balances post, but you don't need to pay interest (PIF by due date, but after statement cut)
