Re: Target MasterCard Direct App Approved

I went to look and verify. Logged in to my account online. Which I havent been on there for a couple years since I bought something during Covid for pick up. Clicked on my name top right. Drop down box clicked Red Card. That's the page that loaded with Apply at the bottom of both columns is what I got. I didnt go thru any process. No need and too far away for me.

That's what shows for everyone. If you look

closely the RedCardoption is a darker shade of red to signify that is specifically the Mastercard. I've tested to see if I had the option to chose which one like OP by completing an application and going through all the steps right before hitting submit. Unfortunately, it was only for the RedCard with no option to select the Mastercard. This was even after logging in to my Target account which I created today haha.

@CoolHandSean, @FireMedic1 ,

I personally believe that @DaisyAdair , received a very rare Targeted offer!

Yes I saw your pick. It's asking you to choose between the Debit or the Credit only. You don't have the option to choose the MasterCard which is the same for the rest of us.

See my pic. Offered to chose which card to apply for.

@FireMedic1, I believe that is the standard application form, for at least three years.

I does give you an option to apply for the target cards and or the debit card, but not specifically for the MC version.

It simply states "Apply for credit" .. that has been the standard, and never gives you a specific option for picking the master card.

Also if you call Target credit, they will tell you, "you cannot choose" ...

I see NO option to pick the MC? -> https://www.target.com/redcard/credit-card-application

@DaisyAdair, Was Targeted specifically for the MC in The phone APP. (first DP I have seen on this)

My Target MC approval came up in another thread, and it was suggested that I make a separate post, so here it is for those interested.

I signed into my Target account (desktop) to place a pickup order and saw a promo/ad for the Target card. When I clicked through, there were 2 options displayed: Target store card and Target MC. I applied directly for the MC version and was approved with a $6k limit.

I will ask @FinStar to chime in and give His expert opinion on this?
