Just got approved for a Kohls store card ($800 CL) and the Target Red Card Credit ($900 CL). I'm now in 'gardening mode' for at least the next 4-6 months.
While I know store cards aren't the best options vs. a regular bank card I have felt bad about my wife losing her Kohls card in our BK last year. I was super happy to get approved so she has access to a Kohls card again. The Target card was just to boost my discount from 3% (using BofA Cust. Cash) to 5%. Also, adds 2 more tradelines while also absolutely killing my Aaoa. Where's my potting soil.....
Kohls pulled TU - my current score 744, 7 Inquiries
Target pulled Eq - my current score 669, 9 inquiries
Congratulations!
Store cards are better than no cards. They will help build your credit profile back up.
Congrats on the approvals!

Agreed! I'm kinda doing things a bit backwards though... was approved for a Truist Enjoy Cash last month with $3500 CL and the BofA Customized Cash in November for $3500 CL. Still super happy with these 2 approvals today though.
WooHoo!! Congratulations on both your Approvals!!👏🏼🍾🥂

Thanks! I know it may be silly but, I'm pretty dang excited about these small store card approvals.
Approvals are always exciting no matter where they come from, congrats on your new cards, and GL in the garden!
Congrats on your Target RedCard & Kohl's approvals
