Sorry for the denial. Did you cancel the membership?

Aww man, sorry about the denial, sucks that they made you wait so long. I see the membership says "cancelled". Did you cancel after not getting the card or was that them? Estabish membership and then swoop back in after forming a relationship?

Is your EQ froze? Asking because that's usually when it shows 17.99 apr. You may won't to call and see why they never reached out, but if I had to guess they denied because you didn't unfreeze your EQ.

Or if you didn't fund the account for membership that also can cause a denial

I thought there was an additional review step in there but the last DocuSign was marked approved at the previously disclosed APR.
Just checked the site:
Approved 10K / 7.49%
Pulled score: 786
1/12
5/24
<3% utilization
DTI < 33% of given income but they probably only saw like 18% as new mortgage hasn't landed. Told them about it though.
I didn't ask for a larger limit though I probably could have from a score and income perspective, I can't conceive of needing to make more than a 9K purchase and as such went with the minimum number for single transaction and nothing additional.
Expecting to move basically all default spending to this card, which for me is quite a bit just wish I had this before I was buying a bunch of stuff for the new place but I suspect it will get plenty of use regardless ![]()

@Revelate Congrats!...added

I was just approved for $10,000 @ 8.99% over the phone. Whooo!
Last month, I was approved for my first CC after rebuilding. Approved at $3,900 with NFCU Platnium %17.00, which has yet to report. AOD just delivered the shock of my life because I received a high limit card without having any other CCs listed in my report!!!
Here's the story:
I waited 5 business days after applying to contact customer service, explained that I recently applied and had not heard back. I was directed to an associate's voicemail, left a message and received a call back an hour later. The banker requested additional info for verification (sent bank statement w/ NFCU, utility bill, paystub, AUSA membership and photos of ID). Sent that back and received a call the next day. Hopped on a call, and was countered for $10,000 instead of my requested $20K despite my thin file!
AOD emphasizes that their relationship focused, and because my DTI is low (outside of student loans) and my income is higher, they were happy to extend the offer. CLI opportunities in 6-months.
The moral here (for me anyways) is having someone manually review your file with you over the phone. They seem to want to work with you as long as you have an intention to build a relationship with them. Show an existing savings account with a high balance when you share docs (if possible).

Yes, congrats on awesome approvals for you both! ![]()
It's great to see the approvals keep coming in with more data points!
