US Bank Altitude Reserve Approval--UPDATE CLI GRANTED @ $10K

Over the past month I have been taking a few AAoA hits due to the need for a new car and to refi my student loans to a reasonable APR. I figured that before I stepped into the garden for good, I should add a card or two that I had my eye on. Last week it was the Citi DC. This week it is the US (socks) Bank AR.

I opened a checking account last Friday through the website (thanks to @longtimelurker for that route map). Only put 50 in the account as it was the max they would let me transfer through debit card. Waited the "5 business days" plus today to apply in the USB App.

Data points:
Income: Mid-100k
Bureau: Looks like they pulled TU, approx 716 Fico 8
INQ: 6
6 mo/12 month accts: 1/6, 1/12 (both the DC from October of last month.

After providing the requisite info, I hit submit and was instantly approved for a $5500 SL. Not particularly high, but something I can work with for now and try to get raised later after a few months.

Big shout out to Remi and K for answering the questions/rants I peppered them with. Pretty happy to get this one in my (mobile) wallet. Now off to the garden forever.

This is a conservative bank with a high threshold for approval on this card and you get it right out of the gate, they love you. Congrats Smiley Happy

Congrats on the approval.. I am really curious why they are so frugal with the SCL's on this card for most people.  If you were a big traveler a 5k SL (lowest for this card) would be hard to work with.

Congrats on the approval, but I suggest you call ASAP today and make your case for a higher starting limit.

Is there a special place I should be calling or just the normal recon line?

One of these #'s should work.  Other people that have more experience with us bank would know better whether same HP or would be additional HP etc.  Use to be a SP to reconsider, but heard recently it has been a HP, but not sure if it is a YMMV type of thing?
