@Repo-ed,
I started out with USAA in August 2011 with insurance and banking. In /FebMarch 2012 I opened up a secured MasterCard and AMEX. In September 2012 I opened up secured installment loan for $2500 and paid it off after 6 months. In April 2913 I a pplied for auto loan with USAA for $8000, approved. I've been paying 1.5 times my monthly payment on auto loan. In July 2013 USAA gave me an unsecured amex for $7000. I must have applied for am unsecured card with them at least 9 times in 2013. They kept telling me I've reached their maximum credit extended so I decided to close my two secured cards with them ($5000 each). Always pif on my USAA cards and others too. Then a couple days ago I applied for unsecured Visa (wanted world MasterCard) and was approved for $7000 again. The world MasterCard has a minimum credit limit of $5000 and I didn't think I could get that, thus the Visa app. I date not apply for anything else with them it anyone else since I have $49,900 in credit with utilization of 2%. I say all this to let you know there is hope. I never thought I would get to this point with USAA and others. I still have a long way to go, but my progress thus far has been stellar considering my credit profile. Good luck
Until this repo from a CU falls off, they don't give 2 **** about the rest of my file.
The price I pay.
Congrats! ![]()

Recently closed my two secured cards with USAA ($5,000 each). Other than that, there wasn't much change in credit report. I'm doing the happy dance
Congrats on the CC Approval! how long did you have the secured CC for?
