UnionBank Platinum Visa Approval - $8500 (no BT fee card)

Applied for this about one week ago, and got the 7-10 day message.

Called them today to see if there were any updates to my application - I had called them 3 days ago, and they had no new information. I actually received a prompt to enter the last 4 of my social and zip code, which I don't think I heard the last time I called. The automated voice then proceeded to read out my available credit, which was/is $8500, so I basically found out I was approved from the automated bot reading my balance to me. I don't think I've ever found out I was approved in this manner before.

I previously thought I was denied, given the infamous 7-10 day message, but, it looks like they manually underwrite every application. The CS rep said I should get the card in a few days...It's a very attractive balance transfer card, because, even though it's only 15 months, it does not have the standard 3 or 5% balance transfer fee, which is very rare these days. The only other cards I've had that didn't have that fee were/are the AMEX Everyday and Chase Slate, both of which I believe now have a 3% fee.

Stats - FICO 8 (as per Discover) is 772, with a 14% UTIL (although this should go down with this card). Also hadn't applied for any cards (or had any other hard inquiries) in about a year.
