Congrats!! Curious, did you call in for this?
I haven't put much spend on mine and haven't tried for a CLI since I barely use the card with so many giving me better rewards right now. (X1 is my primary right now during my 4X 30 days)

Yes with WF, requests are always via call in. It is older school banking but still works.
Congrats on your WF Active Cash CLI! 🎉
For that phone call in, did you specifically request a SP CLI or did you tell them to go through with the request regardless? Don't have a WF card (or many others for that matter
) yet, but would be good to know just in case!
Thanks
Wells Fargo will try via SP. If that does not work then they'll specifically ask if you want to try a HP.
@PNWRambler wrote:Congrats on the CLI! That is a decent limit, you should see a bump in your score for that. And 0% interest is always a nice perk, but be careful with it!
Thanks @PNWRambler.
This increase probably won't change my score/overall utility though. I am < 3% now.

I got this card in July 2021 and was denied an increase in December with a HP.
Usually PIF, but had to carry $2,500 unexpectedly. I will have another $3,000 of repairs coming and wanted to leverage the 0% until November.
Congrats on your increase! That's amazing!

Thanks for this info! After reading your post I realized it had been just over 6 months since I got the card. Since WF will be reporting to the credit bureaus within a couple of days on my account, I figured "why not" and gave them a call.
I asked for a $2,000 increase, which is less than 50% of my $4500 limit. After spending about 9 minutes on the phone I was declined, but the people I spoke with were pleasant.
After a payment today I'm at just under 39% utilization on the card (by far the highest in my portfolio), which I'm sure has something to do with the decline. Earlier I did some balance transfers, purchased some office equipment and did some car repairs that I'm still paying for, which is where the balance is from. The interest rate is still 0% through the end of the year, so I'm not in as much of a hurry to pay it off as I would be with any other card.
The only real benefit I'd get from a CLI right now is lower utilization and better FICO scores as a result. It's not a real disappointment.
Congratulations!

Congratulations on your Active Cash CLI!
