I was actually in the process of closing my WF accounts and decided to apply for the card before closing them (bc I read here that having an acct with them could affect things). I had $0 balances in both accounts when I applied.
I got the "We need to verify a few pieces of information before we can give you a credit decision" message. The page said that if I was approved, I'd be notified within 5-7 days. I called to see if they needed to verify identity or anything. They said that the underwriter needed to review something. I called later and was told that I was approved for $7,500 (my highest CL). Called back and asked if the CL could be increased. He said that I'd have to wait til it's activated. The next morning, the credit card account was added to my WF portal.
They pulled Experian. The rep said that he could only give me a score range: 650-700.
I have tons of late payments for student loans in my EX from 2017.
