Congratulations on the approval. Seems like not a terrible approach to app for what you want on the same day if they are different lenders. Get the two cards so the inquiries fall off a the same time and you reset your age at the same time. It is probably the approach I will do in the future if I have my eye on more than one card at a time and decide to get both.

@Anonymous Congratulations on your Sam's Club Cc. 👍

Lol I agree completely on that approach, and I'd take some credit for doing it if I had planned to app for either of them, but they just kinda happened 😂 In several months when I'm hopefully smarter and pick a card instead of letting it pick me, I'll revisit the idea of "strategy" and try it on for size ![]()
A note for anyone considering this card:
When I got to the service counter to re-up my membership, she told me I was preapproved for the card, with a limit of $4000 when it arrives in the mail, and a temporary spend limit of $2000 until then. She gave me a printout showing the numbers. After I had accepted it, I reread the printout and the wording actually said "prequalified" rather than "preapproved". I thought that it was interesting that they offered terms of the card before the HP (which did come a few minutes later on TU). I am a Synch cardholder already with my Lowe's card, and having my email address in the system must have spurred a quick SP to see about the possibility of an offer. But nonetheless, I was told the terms of the card with no HP ahead of time, much like GS does with the Apple Card, so you can find out if the HP for the card will be worth it before incurring it.
LOL, grats on the Sams MC ![]()
I think you are fine as long as you dont suddenly run them up.

Thanks, that's what I'm hoping. Lowe's has been getting small charges on the order of $50 or less per month, but I'm paying it down a couple hundred per month even with those new charges included. With Sam's, we got $287 worth of things yesterday, which will be paid off before any further purchases are made.
Congrats on the approval!
