I saw a YouTube channel online that was posting about receiving the card, he said that he was getting 5 points everyday for just looking at the account, when then had the 2x multiplier when transferring to his SoFi Money account. It doesn't seem like a lot, but at least $36 a year just for making it a habit to check the app once a day? That's more than the interest you'd get in majority of HYSA, and you're not tying up your money to earn that money.
He also showed that they had given him 10 points just for enrolling in Sofi Member rewards. Again, it's not a huge amount, but it's a minimum of $36 a year, for simplying signing into the app.
Curious - at first I was seeing this cc being offered on a waiting list (which I added myself on the list since I am already a Sofi Customer).
Then I saw others saying that after being on the wait list - they were getting email offers from Sofi to apply.
When I was initially checking my Sofi accounts, it would still indicate I am on a waiting list.
Now when I go to my Sofi accounts and check under the CC section, it now mentions to apply.
However, I never got an email to reply. Has anyone else experienced this?

Same here....I'm on the waiting list, but I got an email to apply today. Went to apply still says on waiting list 😂. 🤷🏿♂️
You guys must be special, in the newsletter I got an invitation to apply for the waitlist instead!

I'll chime in with another DP here. I had a combination of a few experiences mentioned upthread, culminating in the same end as @jnbowmar . I've been a SoFi member for a while now, used SoFi Money when the referral bonuses were better and invited a fair few friends/colleagues. Have since switched away, but always waited for their CC to come out. Signed up for waitlist almost immediately, never notified I was off it, but saw a colored in "apply" button in the CC tab about 2 weeks ago.
Applied, denied (scores mid-600s, CO about a year ago) understandably. Though, they do "invite" me to apply again 30 days from the last application date. Will certainly be waiting longer than that - and hoping for a SUB they're apparently now rolling out.
That said, I'm not at my normal mailing address, and I have now received 2 emails from SoFi letting me know my "new card is on its way" and (a few days later) my "new card has arrived." I suspect (poor) automated mailing, but we shall see when I return home this weekend...
