@cashorcharge wrote:With the card being opened up to new applicants and the recent successes posted in the Approvals Thread, I took the opportunity to call today (844-945-7634...this number is only on your statement...not online or even on the card itself) to see if my account was eligible for a credit limit increase. My account has processed 3 statements, seen little use...but activity nonetheless.
"I'm sorry but at this time, we are not processing any Credit Limit Increase requests for your account."
"Okay.....thank you....is there something specific I would need to do or you need to see to process such a request?""No, at this time we are not processing ANY Credit Limit Increases on SOFI products"
I guess we'll see how this continues in the future.
Besides the 2% cash back--that leads me to believe this card has something else in common with Blispay----your starting credit line could end up being your permanent credit line.
This card is open to the public to apply. Before it was by invitation. Good luck !.
This card is issued by The Bank of Missouri.

@Anonymous- please reference the above active discussion. It appears this was already discussed several posts upthread since SoFi began to take live apps as of the end of February.
Good news. They have now added "freeze card" functionality to the mobile app. So you have the ability to lock and unlock the card if you are using it infrequently. Many issuers already allow for this, so good to see them add it to this card.
Things continue to operate smoothly with this card program. I mentioned before that it can be added to Mint if you like to keep track of transactions. Previously transactions did not show, only the running balance. Now transactions are visible in Mint too. Kudos to the SoFi team for slowly and steadily improving the product as well as the relatively nice referal bonus program.

I have not had mine long enough to see anything and they don't post the statement closing in the app. The phone reps are hit or miss. Lately I've been calling and the phone reps have no clue. But back in January the phone rep told me, and was correct. Unfortunately this date is not in February so...
But I'd like to figure out the pattern so I can plan payments.
Last month was my first statement...it generated on the 15th. I had called in after I got the card to ask the same question and they said "they didn't know" but said I should "assume" it was sometime around the 15th. Clearly they don't know how OCD I am about statement dates! LOL!!
Now in FEB, the app shows my Payment Due Date is Feb 9th (I had a ZERO balance on my last statement) which is 6 days before my statement should generate for FEB assuming it's the 15th again. If you haven't had any statement generate yet, I can only suggest you "assume" as they told me it would be on the 15th.
The app is certainly in need of some UI improvements. Details are slim at best!
In your case, I have a strong suspicion that your next statement will cut on February 12th. Which is 25 days before March 9th. And February 9th is 25 days after January 15! Would be interested to hear back from you if this is true! What remains to be seen is if their are any curveballs that thrown if a statement closing date is on a weekend. I know Sync won't close on a Saturday (they'll move it to Friday). Not sure what SoFi will do.
To followup on this, it appears that my statement closing date which was supposed to be Saturday (25 days before my due date), was moved to Friday. So it would appear that statement closing date is 25 days before your next due date, and if that day is a Saturday, your statement will actually close on Friday instead. I've been correct in my closing dates for the last several months and this closes the loop. (Well technically I've never had one predicted for Sunday, so we shall see later).
