2 day message with Discover CLI request.

If I remember correctly, Disc doesn't live giving them out less than every 6 months or so. I know cap1 was the same way for me, a few years back.

Since May of last year I, and many others, have been getting CLI's in much less than six month increments. Personally, I got five in a row at 17 days each and since then they've varied between 31 days and 91 days.

It's good to know that discover has gotten a bit more generous then. I'm happy for all of you lol. I tend to forget about CLI's with discover, so I end up doing them every 6-7mo and getting 5k+ per. Went from 3.5k to 9k to 15k that way. *shrug*

I hit the luv button once and was instantly approved for CLI then out of the blue 2 days later they took it back.  I called and they advised my account came up for routine review and my UTI was too high on other cards so they took the CLI away.  Put me on hold for about 2 minutes and came back advising they would honor the CLI that was auto approved.  Have't asked again LOL

I got a couple (about a week apart) "unfortunately we cannot raise your limit at this time" and the next day got the review with a decision in 1-2 day message. Luckily it yielded a $4500 increase when I logged in in the morning. 

For me, as long as you are not asking for a CLI on a daily basis, the review notice has had about a 90% success rate. One time I remember having a $500 CLI approval that I declined only to have a 1-2 day review in a few days with a $1500 CLI.

As others have stated, this is a highly YMMV type of situation. Best of luck to you!

Just got one of these and at the end of two days received a $1500 CLI as a result. I've also received a $500 CLI after 2 day review. And a $500 instant CLI. I've had the card since June.

People have said 2 day review usually results in a greater CLI, but that hasn't been my experience... all my CLIs with Discover have been relatively small.
